This is Still the Place: Utah's 1897 Pioneer Jubilee

Box Elder County, #8, contributed a cornucopia float. The building visible behind the float is "The Valley House" on West Temple and South Temple. (Donor: Sue Wagner)

The Deseret Evening News published this artist's rendering of the float and reported "Boxelder County then showed itself, a large and beautiful rose-bedecked float carrying a number of sweet little maidens under a shell-like canopy, thus picturing that area as a garland of beauty."
