Charles E. Colton: This medal,
accompanied by its original box, belonged to Charles Colton. Lettering on
front is blue enamel. The pin shows its age through the darkening of
oxidation. Looking closely, one can also see that a loop of metal was
added at the top back to transform the pin into a pendant. The clasp on
the back has been replaced with a modern piece. (Accession #: 11359-004; dimensions: 1.75" square; donor: Mary Dowd Wilkins) | |
