This is Still the Place: Utah's 1897 Pioneer Jubilee

   

Between 1885 and 1887, the boat General Garfield was permanently moored on the shores of the Great Salt Lake, and a bathing resort built up around it. The resort had 200 bath houses, a boat pavilion, board walks, and piers. (Photo by C.R. Savage, #53a)
