This is Still the Place: Utah's 1897 Pioneer Jubilee

   

Brigham Young tie. This handkerchief was owned and worn by Brigham Young as early as 1847. Young would have folded the brown, plaid fabric into an arrow-shaped tie to wear around his neck. In 1897, his wife Naomi Twiss Young donated the handkerchief to be displayed in the Hall of Relics.(Accession # 208; dimensions: 30" x 28"; donor: Naomi Twiss Young)
